Director of Human Resources – Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge

Are you a people-first leader who thrives on building high-performing teams and creating an exceptional workplace culture? At Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge, we're looking for a strategic and engaging Director of Human Resources to champion our greatest asset—our people.

In this key leadership role, you'll partner with hotel leadership to attract top talent, develop future leaders, strengthen employee engagement, and foster a culture where associates feel valued, supported, and empowered to deliver memorable guest experiences.

What You'll Do

• Lead all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, training, and performance management.
• Partner with the Executive Committee and department leaders to develop talent strategies that support business goals and drive operational success.
• Foster an inclusive, engaging workplace culture that promotes collaboration, recognition, and career growth.
• Develop innovative recruiting and retention initiatives to attract and retain exceptional hospitality talent.
• Coach and support leaders on performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, and talent development.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Lead associate engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture-building events that enhance the employee experience.
• Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities and implement continuous improvements.
• Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives across the hotel.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of four years of Human Resources experience; previous hotel or hospitality HR experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other applicable labor laws.
• Proven experience in recruiting, employee relations, retention strategies, and performance management.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
• Ability to manage a diverse workforce with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Experience with Affirmative Action planning is a plus.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
