Project Manager (Freelance + Downtown LA)

A leading architectural design firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a contract engagement beginning late June/early July running through the end of October. This role starts with a gradual ramp from 16 to 24 hours per week, scaling to 40 hours per week in August though the end of October 2026. The ideal candidate is available to work onsite 5 days a week in Downtown Los Angeles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Own and manage critical path schedules across multiple concurrent creative and event-driven projects

-Serve as the primary project management lead on several video productions being created for a high-profile September event

-Attend and actively contribute to meetings with Co-CEOs, COO, CFO, and Global Co-Chairs, translating project status into clear, visually digestible formats for executive stakeholders

-Manage and lead creative talent across project workflows, keeping teams aligned and accountable

-Maintain and update project tracking in Asana, ensuring all stakeholders have real-time visibility into project health

-Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions in formats tailored to a visually oriented, senior leadership audience

-Support broader creative and operational projects across the LA studio as bandwidth grows through the contract

QUALIFICATIONS

-5+ years of project management experience, with a clear track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder creative projects

-Experience managing video production projects, ideally from pre-production through delivery

-Hands-on proficiency with Asana for project tracking and schedule management

-A background in or strong familiarity with the Architecture, Design, or built environment industry is a plus

-Experience in events or experiential project management, particularly for high-profile or executive-facing events

-Demonstrated ability to lead and manage creative talent

-Executive presence and polished communication skills; you're comfortable in the room with the C-Suite and know how to communicate clearly and professionally at that level

-Strong ability to synthesize complex information into clear, visual, and actionable formats for senior stakeholders
