Senior Accountant – International Reporting & Accounting (100%)Location: Zurich, SwitzerlandOverviewAn opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Accountant to join an international finance team based in Zurich. This position offers responsibility for multiple Swiss entities while collaborating with stakeholders across Europe and North America.

The role is suited to a finance professional who enjoys improving financial processes, supporting reporting activities, and contributing to digitalisation and automation initiatives.

The position is available from 1 September 2026 or by agreement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial accounting for multiple Swiss entities, including general ledger and sub-ledgers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations (OR).
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping in compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and manage provisions and reconciliations.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and group transactions.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Prepare financial analyses, management reports, and decision-support information.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting, KPIs, and reporting tools.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and workflows.
• Support finance digitalisation and automation initiatives.
• Work closely with internal departments and international stakeholders across Europe and North America.
• Provide financial and commercial support to business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Commercial qualification (EFZ) or equivalent.
• Swiss Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting (eidgenössischer Fachausweis im Finanz- und Rechnungswesen) is essential.
• Several years of accounting experience, including responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Experience working in an international environment is advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy, reliability, and accountability.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive initiatives independently.
• Able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
