Champion Health System is an innovative, physician-led healthcare organization specializing in cardiovascular medicine, vascular intervention, interventional radiology, wound care, minimally invasive procedures, and ambulatory surgical services. As we continue to expand throughout North Carolina, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources leader to build and oversee our entire Human Resources operation.
This is an executive-level opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys creating systems, improving culture, and partnering directly with senior leadership. If you enjoy building organizations—not simply maintaining them—we would love to hear from you.
The Director of Human Resources & People Operations will oversee every aspect of Human Resources for Champion Health System. This individual will be responsible for payroll, employee benefits, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, performance management, employee relations, HR policies, compensation planning, credentialing coordination, and strategic workforce planning.
The successful candidate will work directly with the President, CFO, Director of Operations, and department managers to develop an outstanding workplace culture while ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment regulations.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will have experience taking a company away from a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) such as Insperity and bringing payroll, benefits, compliance, onboarding, and HR operations fully in-house. Experience in a multi-site healthcare organization with 100+ employees and familiarity with physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, or hospitals would be highly desirable.
This background will allow the individual to lead a smooth transition while building a scalable HR infrastructure that supports Champion Health System's continued growth.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
