Senior Manager, Inventory Procurement

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, Inventory Procurement to lead and optimize our inventory procurement strategy. This role is responsible for driving inventory investment decisions, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring the right products are available to support business growth and an exceptional customer experience.

This individual will play a key role in improving procurement processes, optimizing inventory performance, and building scalable supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute inventory procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, sales forecasts, and demand planning.
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiations, and relationship management to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Optimize inventory levels across multiple product categories while balancing product availability, working capital, and inventory risk.
• Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, Operations, Logistics, and Finance to align procurement strategies with business priorities.
• Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, inventory health, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes through automation, technology, and scalable best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, service levels, and profitability.
• Mentor and develop procurement team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in inventory procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management within a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
• Proven experience developing procurement strategies that improve inventory performance, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to leverage data to drive business decisions.
• Demonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and implementing cost optimization initiatives.
• Experience collaborating across Merchandising, Planning, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring procurement professionals.
• Passion for process improvement, operational excellence, and continuous innovation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within retail, ecommerce, consumer products, wholesale, or distribution environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory planning software, and procurement technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
