What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferably completed a medical assistant certificate program
• Over 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in healthcare
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Willingness to travel across various locations for coverage, adhering to travel policies

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and other visitors at the medical office
• Assist and direct patients with their inquiries
• Handle incoming phone calls via our main office line
• Use medical office software to book new and follow-up appointments for patients
• Register new patients and update essential records
• Distribute forms and paperwork ensuring all required fields are filled
• Daily collection of patient financial obligations
• Maintain the confidentiality of all patient records
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals
• Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions
• Perform diverse duties as requested or necessary
