Junior Project Manager (Technology) – Chicago

Location: Chicago, IllinoisDuration: 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension)We're looking for a Junior Project Manager to join a technology delivery team supporting enterprise application releases.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of project coordination or project management experience who enjoys working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track.

In this role, you'll own the monthly production release process, coordinating approvals, managing timelines, and ensuring all release requirements are completed before deployments. You'll work closely with Agile teams while partnering with Cybersecurity, Operational Readiness, and other stakeholders to drive successful production releases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly production releases and deployment activities
• Manage release schedules, milestones, and dependencies
• Track change requests, approvals, and release readiness
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure production deployments stay on schedule
• Follow up with stakeholders to remove blockers and obtain required approvals
• Maintain release documentation, checklists, and project status updates
• Support Agile delivery teams by ensuring smooth release execution

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Project Management or Project Coordination experience
• Experience supporting technology or software development projects
• Exposure to release management, production deployments, or change management
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum preferred)
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable taking ownership and proactively driving projects forward
