Project Manager, Business Improvement

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Business Improvement to lead the delivery of strategic business improvement initiatives across our global organisation.

Reporting to the Head, Business Improvement, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end projects while strengthening project management practices through governance, coaching, and oversight. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT, and external partners, you will ensure projects are delivered with strong execution discipline and achieve measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of strategic business improvement projects from initiation through implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Establish and maintain project governance and PMO standards across the project portfolio.
• Conduct project health checks and provide oversight of projects managed by others to ensure consistent delivery standards.
• Coach and mentor project teams in project management methodologies, governance, and best practices.
• Build effective relationships with business, IT, and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and accountability.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes.
• Monitor project benefits and support post-implementation reviews to ensure intended business outcomes are achieved.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Agile certification is an advantage.
• 8–12 years' experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated experience working within a PMO or structured project governance environment.
• Experience coaching or mentoring project managers or project teams.
• Strong project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and delivery skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across functions without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills with a disciplined approach to execution.
