ABOUT PRESIDIOPresidio Production Company (NYSE: FTW) is a Fort Worth-based, yield-focused oil and gas operator that acquires and optimizes producing wells across Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas without drilling.
With a large fleet of producing wells and a differentiated focus on operational efficiency, Presidio has built a competitive edge through disciplined technology adoption: real-time data analytics, automation, and increasingly, artificial intelligence.
This role sits within Presidio's technology organization, which is purpose-built to turn Presidio's operational intensity into software that creates lasting internal value and a lasting competitive advantage. Our mission is to give everyone, from the pumper in the field to the executive in the boardroom, the information and tools they need to make better decisions, faster.
We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to own the strategy, development, and rollout of AI-powered tools that help oil and gas professionals - engineers, pumpers, and executives - understand how to optimize production from their existing wells. This is a defining role for a product leader who wants complete ownership of a product area, not a slice of one.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Oil and gas operators sit on extraordinary amounts of operational data, and most of it goes underused. The Lead PM at Presidio will change that by building AI-powered tools that surface actionable insight from that data for every stakeholder who touches a well.
The central challenge, and what makes this role genuinely hard and genuinely interesting, is that the right product for a pumper doing their morning rounds looks nothing like the right product for an executive reviewing portfolio performance. You will need to hold multiple user realities at once and make principled decisions about where to invest, what to build, and how to sequence it.
This role operates at the intersection of energy domain depth, multi-persona UX craft, AI product fluency, and commercial ambition. At the Lead PM level, you will not just execute on a roadmap — you will define it, own its outcomes, and build the frameworks that let a growing product team execute with you.
If you want to build something that matters in an industry that is just beginning to wake up to what software can do, this is that job.WHAT YOU WILL OWNProduct Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and own the full product area strategy and roadmap for AI-powered production optimization tools, not just the near-term, but the multi-year arc
- Translate Presidio's operational thesis (acquire, optimize, generate free cash flow) into product bets that are commercially defensible and sequenced for maximum impact
- Anticipate cross-team dependencies, proactively manage risk, and adjust strategy and priorities as conditions in the field or business evolve
- Build the frameworks, processes, and decision-making standards that will let a growing product team execute consistently at high quality
- Identify when to build internally, when to partner, and when the answer is both, and lead that decision with rigor and clarityMulti-Persona Product DevelopmentYou will be responsible for building products that serve three meaningfully different users and you must resist the temptation to collapse them into a single product:
- Pumpers — field operators who need fast, mobile-first tools with minimal friction that help them identify problems and take action during their daily rounds
- Engineers — technically fluent users who need analytical depth, configurable views, and the ability to interrogate models and surface production anomalies
- Executives — portfolio-level visibility, trend recognition, and insight delivery in formats that drive decisions without requiring operational expertiseDefining the right interface, information hierarchy, and AI surface for each audience is core to this roleAI-Powered Product Execution
- Partner with engineering and data science to bring AI capabilities to market responsibly: scoped clearly, validated against real operational data, and explained in terms users trust
- Own the feedback loop - field user behavior, engineer adoption signals, and executive utilization - and use it to drive iteration
- Understand enough about AI/ML workflows to ask the right questions, identify where model outputs break down, and make product decisions that don't over-promise
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate your own PM workflow: insight synthesis, documentation, customer feedback analysis, and researchRollout & Commercial Awareness
- Support rollout strategy, including sequencing by user type, internal adoption, and as the product matures, potential expansion to additional operational contexts
- Define and track success metrics that connect product usage to measurable operational outcomes: production uptime, OPEX reduction, response time to anomalies
- Build feedback loops with pumpers, engineers, and leadership that generate continuous signal, not just launch-time validation
- Develop familiarity with how a mature version of these tools could be positioned in the broader oil and gas software marketCross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with reservoir engineers, field operations leads, and executive stakeholders to gather requirements, pressure-test assumptions, and build broad organizational support for the product direction
- Mentor and create leverage through frameworks, reusable processes, and documented decision-making standards, not just direct guidance
- Own outcomes, not just delivery: connect your team's work to VP-level visibility and ensure progress against key results is communicated proactively
- Identify and proactively fill capability gaps - whether that means a missing engineering skillset, a data analysis need, or a design resource - before they become blockers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant product management experience, with a track record of complete ownership over a product area and its outcomes, not just execution against a given roadmap
- Experience leading large initiatives that span multiple teams, including managing cross-functional dependencies and proactively surfacing risk
- Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and communicate that strategy with enough clarity to drive organizational alignment
- Experience building reusable frameworks, processes, or decision standards that create leverage for a team beyond your direct contributions
- Strong data fluency: you formulate the right business questions, find the data that answers them, and use insights to drive roadmap decisions and resourcing conversations
- Experience driving rollout activities: adoption planning, feedback loop design, and metric definition tied to business outcomes
- Proven ability to communicate product strategy and progress to senior leadership, including VP-level stakeholders, with enough precision to influence prioritization decisions
- Experience building products for multiple distinct user types with meaningfully different needs, workflows, and technical fluencies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience in oil and gas operations, energy software, or adjacent industrial/field-operations environments
- Familiarity with oil and gas operational workflows: well monitoring, production optimization, workover identification, SCADA or field data systems
- Experience shipping AI or ML-powered products, including an understanding of how to scope, validate, and explain model outputs to end users
- Experience building for field or mobile-first users where UX simplicity is load-bearing — not aesthetic
- B2B SaaS product experience, particularly with enterprise or industrial customers
- Exposure to early-stage or platform product development in a company where the product function is still being definedWHO THRIVES HEREThe person who succeeds in this role can sit with a pumper at 7am and understand what slows down their morning. Then sit with a reservoir engineer and understand what keeps them up at night. Then walk into an executive meeting and connect both of those realities to a portfolio-level decision.
- They are not intimidated by the oilfield's complexity, but they also don't hide behind it. They know how to turn competing inputs into a clear product direction, build the processes that let a team execute consistently, and deliver software that is practical, trusted, and adopted by people who didn't ask for software and will tell you exactly if it isn't working.
