Innovation & AI Technology Lead Business Analyst - Leading Financial Services

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an Innovation & AI Technology Business Analyst to drive the successful translation of business innovation into scalable technology and AI solutions across the enterprise.

Sitting within the Technology function and partnering closely with the Innovation team, this is a strategic role responsible for leading business analysis activities across innovation initiatives, shaping AI-enabled solutions, and ensuring business needs are effectively translated into technology outcomes.

You will work with senior stakeholders across business, technology, data, and innovation teams to accelerate digital transformation while delivering measurable business value.

Responsibilities

You will lead business analysis activities across the organisation's innovation and AI portfolio, partnering with Innovation, Business, and Technology stakeholders to identify opportunities where emerging technologies and AI can enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth.

Acting as the primary interface between Innovation and Technology, you will facilitate discovery workshops, lead requirements gathering, map complex business processes, and develop business cases that support strategic investment decisions.

You will work closely with Architecture, Engineering, Data, AI, Product, and Cyber Security teams to assess solution feasibility and define target-state operating models, functional requirements, and implementation roadmaps. You will support the delivery of proof-of-concepts (PoCs), pilots, and enterprise-scale implementations, ensuring business requirements remain aligned throughout the delivery lifecycle.

In addition, you will evaluate emerging technology and AI trends, recommend innovative solutions, drive stakeholder alignment, and mentor junior business analysts where appropriate while promoting best practices across the business analysis function.

Requirements

You have 8-15 years of experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst, Technology Consultant, Digital Transformation Consultant, Product Analyst, or similar role, with a proven track record of leading complex technology transformation initiatives within financial services or other large enterprise organisations.

You possess strong expertise in business analysis, including stakeholder management, requirements elicitation, business process modelling, solution design, and business case development.

You have experience delivering enterprise digital transformation, innovation, AI, or technology initiatives and possess a sound understanding of modern technology platforms including cloud, APIs, enterprise applications, data platforms, AI, and automation. Exposure to Generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, intelligent automation, or digital innovation programmes will be highly advantageous.

You are an influential communicator with the ability to engage senior business and technology stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and translate complex business problems into practical technology solutions. Experience working across cross-functional teams spanning business, technology, innovation, risk, and operations within a regulated financial services environment will be highly regarded.

You are comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment, balancing innovation with execution while driving strategic outcomes across multiple initiatives.
