Junior Data Analyst – Payroll Systems (Contract)

Our client is seeking a Junior Data Analyst with strong IT skills to support a payroll systems integration project. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, large datasets, and system implementations. You will play a key role in helping consolidate payroll data, support system integration, and ensure data accuracy throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Support payroll data migration and system integration initiatives.
• Analyze, validate, and reconcile payroll data from multiple systems.
• Assist with merging company data during payroll and technology integrations.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Work closely with Payroll, IT, and project stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation.
• Prepare reports and analyze data to support project decisions.
• Document processes, workflows, and data mapping.
• Help test system functionality and validate data following system migrations.
• Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive payroll information.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong IT aptitude with an interest in systems implementation and data management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data validation.
• Experience with SQL, databases, Power BI, or other reporting tools is considered an asset.
• Understanding of data migration, system integration, or ERP/payroll software is an asset.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Previous experience supporting payroll, HRIS, or financial systems is considered an asset.
