Talent Acquisition Specialist

Our client, a leader in the consumer-packaged goods industry, is looking for a TA Specialist to join their team.

Compensation

Expected base salary range is $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Post jobs on relevant jobs advertising platforms.
• Conduct intake with hiring managers to determine profile of ideal candidate.
• Screen applicants for skill, experience, and knowledge in relation to job requirements.
• Schedule and conduct interviews, in-person and online, with hiring managers and candidates.
• Provide information to potential candidate on benefits and other programs as part of the Employee Value Proposition.
• Award positions to union employees based on their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
• Consult with HR Generalist, HR Business Partners, or Total Rewards team on terms of offer agreement for internal or external candidates, if needed.
• Independently manage a workload and assist with overflow talent acquisition activities from other customer groups, when required.
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts, including online recruiting resources, to help identify and source qualified candidates.
• Enter employment information about new hires or transfers as a result of recruitment activities into ADP (HRIS).
• Prepare offer letters and employment agreements and send them to candidates for acceptance along with all other policy documents and forms.

Requirements

• Post Secondary Diploma or degree in a related field required.A minimum of 3 years of full cycle recruitment experience required.
• Previous experience working with both hourly & salary in a manufacturing environment an asset.
• Working knowledge of Employment related legislation of province, including but not limited to the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA); Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Ontario Labour Relations Act (OLRA).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task is required.
• Ability to coordinate daily tasks and ongoing projects effectively and efficiently within specified timeframes.
• Experience with job advertising platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed.
