Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations at EIS. This pivotal role based in the US involves managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and production planning to support our mission of delivering top-quality noise barrier solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and manage a team of 5 purchasing professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for team development.
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals andproduction requirements.
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, anddelivery timelines.
- Monitor market trends and industry best practices to drive cost savings andefficiency improvements.
- Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly and ensure adherence to contractualagreements.
- Resolve supplier issues such as delivery delays, quality concerns, or disputes in atimely and professional manner.
- Inventory & Material Management:
- Oversee the management of inventory levels to ensure materials are available whenneeded while minimizing stock.
- Collaborate with production, project management, and logistics teams to forecastdemand and plan procurement schedules accordingly.
- Track stock levels, and trigger restocking.
- Develop Key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor success.
- Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Develop and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring that spending aligns withdepartmental and organizational financial goals.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and processoptimization.
- Understand transportation costs, to improve cost and efficiency.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve procurement processes for efficiency, accuracy,and compliance.
- Implement and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Forecast demand and predict supply chain disruptions.
- Implementing new processes, technologies, or strategies.
- Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance,inventory status, and cost savings to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmentalsustainability practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within operations, manufacturing or procurement.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management.
- Proven experience managing a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) are a plus.
