Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Title VI Officer and Title IX Coordinator, the Data Analyst and Investigation Generalist provides quantitative analysis, data management, and investigative support for the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO). The position applies data analytics and statistical methods to design, maintain, and analyze datasets that drive OEO reporting, including annual and mid-year compliance analytics for university leadership.
The role supports civil rights investigations under Title VI, Title IX, and related federal and state law by reviewing and synthesizing evidence, conducting timeline and documentation analysis, and preparing investigative work product.
The Data Analyst and Investigation Generalist also manages case data systems (EthicsPoint), develops data quality and process improvement initiatives, and supports university-wide training programs through participation analytics and reporting.
The position requires strong analytical judgment, technical proficiency in data analysis, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent matters from intake through closure.
Support workflow alignment across investigations and processes
Review and summarize evidence and case files for investigators
Assist with incident timeline analysis and documentation accuracy
Prepare draft memos and internal documentation
Maintain completeness and integrity of case-related data
Attend interviews and take notes for investigators during investigative processes
Review and arrange evidence for Title IX investigations and prepare evidence for ONEHUB access review to fulfill due process steps for all parties
Create, enter, and maintain cases in EthicsPoint
Upload, organize, and manage case documentation and materials
Monitor case progress and update tracking systems
Assist with case reviews, file management, and records organization
Perform document archiving, cleanup, and shared drive maintenance
Cross-reference incident timelines with schedules and records
Prepare case file summaries and materials for investigators
Prepare data analytics for OEO programs
Analyze, organize, and store data from training and operational activities
Maintain and update tracking sheets, datasets, and internal records
Assist with internal reporting and structured data management
Identify data inconsistencies and support data quality efforts
Prepare annual report and mid-year report data analytics for AVP
Support University-Wide and departmental training initiatives (including T6)
Collaborate on training logistics, coordination, and organization
Monitor training participation and maintain related records
Organize training materials and documentation
Develop presentation slides and program support materials
Provide operational support during training sessions
Organize and maintain documentation systems and shared drives
Assist with workflow coordination and administrative processes
Support process improvements across case management and reporting
Help streamline tracking, documentation, and data systems
Identify administrative inefficiencies and support system optimization
Collaborate with OEO staff, trainers, and technical teams
Support alignment between compliance, investigative, and operational workflows
Assist with communication, coordination, and documentation flow
Support the AVP and data requests when required
Minimum $61,200.00, Midpoint $76,500.00, Maximum $91,800.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
