Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal System Administrator to support system administration and maintenance functions associated with monitoring and controlling virtualized computer environments. This work supports a program located at Beale AFB, CA.

What You Will Do

• System Administration to include:
• Administration of VMWare ESXi servers
• Maintaining Operating Systems (Windows and Red
• Hat Enterprise Linux)
• Application and Security Patching
• Account and Permissions Management using Microsoft Active Directory
• Backup and Restore using Rubrik Backup Solutions
• Cybersecurity Processes related to Continuous Monitoring of IT Systems
• Deploy, update, and maintain Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) systems
• Administration of HPE 3Par and Nimble storage solutions
• Kubernetes Administration
• Rancher RKE2 Distribution
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network switches, firewalls, and routers
• Monitor and analyze network performance and security using tools such as Wireshark and Splunk
• Maintain and manage TCP/IP networks, including addressing, routing, and subnetting
• Support the implementation and management of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
• Collaborate with network engineering teams for the integration of systems across secure networks

Qualifications

• You Must Have
• Active and transferable DoD Top Secret / SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain SAP clearance and access after start
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Active certification to comply with NIST-8570 (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administration
• Windows 10/Server 2016 Administration
• Broadcom VMware
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting network issues

Qualifications

• Cyber Security tools (ACAS, HBSS, Splunk)
• Active
• MQ Management and Deployment
• Shell/bash scripting
• LDAP Administration
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP and transfer protocols
• Experience with network protocols
• Familiarity with configuring and managing firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers
• Ability to produce detailed technical documentation
• Knowledge of Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS)
• Capable of working on a team under pressure to meet schedule requirements

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
