About the Role

The Human Resources Manager will help scale the business by building and overseeing its internal people operations and talent acquisition functions.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will serve as the primary HR leader for the organization. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, compliance, and company culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
• Lead the full recruiting process, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer management.
• Partner with company leaders to understand hiring priorities and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Build and improve recruiting processes that create an efficient and positive candidate experience.
• Design and manage onboarding programs that help new employees integrate into the organization and become productive quickly.
• Evaluate recruiting workflows and recommend improvements to hiring speed, quality, and retention.
• Employee Relations and Organizational Support
• Serve as the primary HR resource and advocate for employees.
• Build trusted relationships with employees, managers, and company leadership.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, workplace concerns, performance issues, and professional development.
• Coordinate across departments to maintain alignment on staffing needs, company values, and employee growth.
• Support the rollout of performance management programs, people processes, and cultural initiatives.
• Help foster a workplace built on trust, communication, collaboration, and accountability.
• People Operations, Systems, and Compliance
• Develop, document, and improve internal HR policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Manage HR systems, employee records, payroll processes, and related administrative functions.
• Help select, configure, and maintain HRIS, payroll, recruiting, and project-management tools.
• Monitor employee retention, engagement, and organizational health.
• Use employee and workforce data to provide recommendations related to hiring, retention, and company growth.
• Ensure HR practices, employee policies, payroll processes, and documentation comply with applicable employment laws and internal standards.
• Identify potential operational, organizational, or employee-related issues before they escalate.

Qualifications

• Broad HR experience covering talent acquisition, employee relations, HR operations, and compliance.
• Proven experience managing full-cycle recruiting and structured interview processes.
• Experience building HR processes, programs, or internal functions from the ground up.
• Background working in a startup, high-growth SaaS, fintech, technology, or capital-markets environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of employment practices, HR policies, benefits, payroll, and compliance requirements.
• Experience advising executives, managers, and employees on sensitive workplace matters.
• Ability to communicate complex HR policies and requirements in a clear, practical, and empathetic way.
• Comfortable handling confidential employee and business information with discretion and integrity.
• Proficiency with modern HRIS, ATS, payroll, and project-management platforms.
• Experience with ADP is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a growing organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
