Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources/HR Business Partner will play a key leadership role as a strategic member of the executive team reporting to the CEO, aligning talent/recruiting strategies with business goals as CPE continues to expand.

This position is critical in cultivating a high-performance culture, advancing employee engagement, and scaling HR operations to support growth across both the corporate headquarters and branch locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support CPE's growth, including talent acquisition, organizational development, and succession planning.
• Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
• Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and providing coaching to managers on employee development.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
• Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within the industrial equipment or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead organizational change and drive HR initiatives.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis.
