Area Operations Manager – Denver Metro

HoodWashers is a fast-growing commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company currently serving customers across six states. We are expanding our Colorado operation and looking for an exceptional person to help lead the Denver market.

This is not a traditional office-manager position, and it is not a role for someone looking for a comfortable, predictable corporate job.

The Area Operations Manager will help run the day-to-day operation, support and develop field teams, coordinate schedules, communicate with customers, solve problems, maintain high standards, and help build the people and systems needed for continued growth.

The right person will have the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility quickly and grow into increasingly significant leadership roles as HoodWashers expands.

Starting compensation is approximately $65,000 per year, with substantial long-term earning, stock-options and leadership potential for exceptional performers.

What You Will Do

The Area Operations Manager will play a central role in the performance and growth of HoodWashers’ Colorado operation.

Responsibilities may include

• Coordinate technician and crew-lead schedules across the Denver metro area.
• Help recruit, interview, onboard, and retain high-quality team members.
• Coach employees and hold teams accountable for attendance, quality, safety, professionalism, and performance.
• Communicate with restaurant managers, facilities teams, and commercial customers.
• Respond quickly and professionally when scheduling, staffing, equipment, or customer issues arise.
• Review job completion, quality-control documentation, photographs, and service reports.
• Support inventory management, vehicle readiness, equipment maintenance, and supply organization.
• Help ensure crews arrive prepared and complete work safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
• Monitor labor performance, job efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational results.
• Identify recurring problems and help create systems that prevent them from happening again.
• Support billing, documentation, payroll information, and other administrative processes as needed.
• Visit jobsites periodically to understand the operation, support crews, verify quality, and resolve issues.
• Help build the recruiting, training, communication, and leadership systems needed to expand the Colorado market.
• Take ownership of problems rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.

This Is Not a Desk-Only Role

HoodWashers performs commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning, much of which occurs overnight when restaurants are closed.

Although this position includes substantial scheduling, administrative, customer-service, and management responsibility, the Area Operations Manager must understand the field operation and be willing to support the team when necessary.

That may include

• Visiting jobsites at night
• Responding to urgent operational issues
• Helping troubleshoot equipment or staffing problems
• Occasionally working outside standard business hours
• Learning the technical side of the operation from the ground up

Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as

• Operations or field-service management
• Restaurant or hospitality management

A specific degree or traditional corporate résumé is less important than demonstrated character, intelligence, leadership ability, judgment, and execution.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership, management, or team-coordination experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize schedules, people, information, and competing priorities
• Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, scheduling systems, and mobile applications
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass applicable background and employment screenings
• Willingness to work occasional nights or nontraditional hours when operations require it
• Ability to travel throughout the Denver metro area
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing hourly or field-based employees
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, or dispatch
• Experience in commercial services, restaurants, facilities, construction, logistics, or another operational environment
• Familiarity with performance metrics, labor efficiency, quality control, or customer retention
• Experience working in a high-growth small business
• Military, athletic, entrepreneurial, or other leadership background

Compensation and Opportunity

• Approximately $65,000 per year, depending on experience and demonstrated ability
