Technical Product Manager – Photonics & Laser Diode Packaging

We are a fast-growing technology company specializing in advanced ceramic substrate solutions for the photonics and laser diode packaging industry. With a strong global footprint, we are expanding our overseas operations. We have recently established a US representative office and are planning for future US manufacturing capabilities.

We are building a professional overseas team to drive technical support, project management, and business operations.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Product Manager to join our Overseas Business Group. This is a critical role that will serve as the technical bridge between our key US customers and our R&D team in China.

You will be responsible for technical requirements management, application scenario analysis, product roadmap planning, and customer technical support throughout the product lifecycle—from sample validation to mass production ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Technical Interface: Collect and manage customer technical requirements; organize and lead technical meetings; coordinate technical issue resolution; provide on-site customer support.

Product Management: Develop and maintain product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and customer requirements roadmaps.

Application Analysis: Research customer application scenarios, product failure modes, thermal management needs, packaging solutions, and reliability requirements.

Technical Knowledge Management: Build and maintain Failure Mode Database, Customer Pain Point Database, Lessons Learned Database, and Competitive Analysis Database.

Project Support: Support customer audits, certification processes, sample validation, and mass production ramp-up.

Qualifications

Citizenship: US Citizen (able to accept 3–6 months of initial onboarding training in China)

Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

Experience: 8+ years in the laser or photonics industry; 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, FAE, or Application Engineer.

Technical Expertise: Familiarity with laser diode packaging, optical communications, thermal management, reliability engineering, and ceramic substrate technology.

Location: Based in the Pacific Northwest (WA/OR) preferred, or willing to travel internationally frequently.

Language: Chinese/Mandarin is plus.
