Junior DevOps Engineer

An innovative organisation in the public sector space is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer. This role supports the design, delivery, automation, and operation of secure, reliable, and scalable digital services across government. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary Digital, Data, and Technology team to improve deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and assist with automating build, test, and release processes.

Assist with provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.

Monitor digital services and infrastructure to support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and service recovery.

Work with cyber security colleagues to apply secure-by-design principles and support vulnerability management.

Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners within an agile multidisciplinary team environment.

What We're Looking For

• Awareness of Agile and DevOps ways of working and cloud hosting platform services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and version control systems.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and basic scripting for routine task automation.
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting tools to maintain service health.
• Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom and awareness of data protection and security standards.
