The company works with hospitals, health systems, clinics, and other healthcare organizations to support new models of care delivery, improve clinical workflows, and expand patient monitoring beyond traditional care settings.
The Opportunity
The company is seeking an experienced business development professional to expand the adoption of its remote patient monitoring solutions across healthcare provider organizations.
This is a consultative, full-cycle commercial role focused on developing relationships with hospital systems, identifying clinical and operational needs, and guiding prospective customers through complex healthcare sales and procurement processes.
The successful candidate will combine healthcare technology knowledge, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical, technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development and Account Strategy
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals, health systems, clinics, and other healthcare provider organizations.
- Build account strategies for large and midsize healthcare organizations.
- Establish relationships with clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, IT teams, procurement departments, and executive decision-makers.
- Develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through targeted prospecting, referrals, industry events, and strategic outreach.
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, account plans, and sales forecasts.
- Consultative Solution Selling
- Understand customer workflows, clinical requirements, technical environments, and organizational priorities.
- Present solutions in the context of clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient engagement, and financial value.
- Translate technical product capabilities into clear and compelling value propositions.
- Partner with prospective customers to evaluate implementation requirements and organizational readiness.
- Deliver product presentations, technical discussions, and commercial proposals.
- Full-Cycle Sales Management
- Manage the complete sales process, from initial outreach and discovery through demonstrations, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Navigate complex healthcare procurement, contracting, security, compliance, and technology review processes.
- Coordinate internal resources throughout the sales process, including product, clinical, technical, implementation, and executive stakeholders.
- Maintain momentum across long and multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Support a smooth transition from commercial discussions into implementation and customer onboarding.
- Market Development
- Develop a strong understanding of the remote patient monitoring and digital health markets.
- Monitor healthcare delivery trends, competitive offerings, provider priorities, and reimbursement models.
- Gather customer and market feedback that can inform commercial strategy and product development.
- Represent the company at relevant industry conferences, customer meetings, and healthcare events.
- Help refine messaging, target account strategies, and go-to-market processes.
- Sales Technology and Process Improvement
- Use modern sales, research, CRM, and productivity tools to improve account research, outreach, meeting preparation, and pipeline management.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial process.
- Quickly learn and adopt new tools that support prospecting, customer engagement, and sales execution.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in sales, business development, strategic accounts, partnerships, or another client-facing commercial role within healthcare.
- Experience working within Med
- Tech, digital health, health IT, remote patient monitoring, clinical technology, healthcare services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, identify commercial opportunities, and advance complex sales processes.
- Experience communicating with clinical, technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, written communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to understand technical products and communicate their clinical, operational, and financial value.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving and evolving organization.
- Willingness to work from the company’s San Francisco Bay Area office as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience selling directly to hospitals, health systems, clinics, or other healthcare provider organizations.
- Existing relationships within hospital systems or healthcare provider networks.
- Experience selling remote patient monitoring, connected medical devices, wearable technology, clinical software, or healthcare data solutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare contracting, procurement, security reviews, and implementation processes.
- Understanding of remote patient monitoring reimbursement and applicable CPT codes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biology, computer science, biomedical science, healthcare, business, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with connected devices, wearable sensors, healthcare data platforms, or analytics solutions.
