Most social products make people lonelier. We were on the front page of the Wall Street Journal for building the one that doesn't.

We are a public benefit company building the social platform for meaningful, in-person connection. At our core is an AI system that deeply understands people and predicts who would like each other - we can identify whether two people in our network are close friends with 90% AUC while relying on zero social graph data.

Today, this powers Date Drop. But dating is just the start. Our mission is to help people find and nurture every relationship that defines a life: friends, mentors, collaborators.

We're led by a second-time founder who's spent five years building matching systems, with experience building core product & brand at early LangChain and Chris Re's lab at Stanford.

While we take our work very seriously, we don't take ourselves seriously — our weekly planning meetings start with an improv jam, and our Slack profile pictures are Clash Royale cards.

Your role

You'd be our first community & operations hire, working directly with the founder, owning everything that happens between "we matched two people" and "they had a great night out."

• Run our campus network: manage the student clubs running Date Drop at our live schools, keep them energized and performing, and grow the network through cold outreach to new clubs and campuses
• Organize weekly events in the city: find and negotiate with venues, create the marketing materials, run the advertising, and make each event something people tell their friends about
• Own LinkedIn outreach on behalf of the founder: partnerships, press, recruiting, and growth
• Own back-office operations so the rest of the team can focus on product
• Automate the repetitive parts of your workflow with AI tools — outreach sequencing, event ops checklists, club health tracking — so you spend your time on the human parts

About you

• You have exceptional executive function: you juggle many workstreams without dropping any, and people describe you as "the person who actually makes things happen"
• You've organized real events: you know what it's like when the venue cancels, the RSVPs don't show, or the sound system dies, and you handled it
• You're a natural at talking to people: club presidents, bar managers, strangers on LinkedIn
• You write copy that gets replies — cold outreach, event promos, campus emails
• You've managed people or partners before
• Bonus: you use AI tools (Claude, Zapier, etc.) to automate parts of your own workflow
• You care that the work you do is good for the world
• You value working with people who are kind, curious, and pragmatic
