District Manager of Operations

The District Manager of Operations leads a portfolio of locations, driving district-wide operational excellence, financial performance, revenue growth, and leadership development across their assigned market. This role is a key member of the operations leadership team, responsible for translating company strategy into execution while developing General Managers and creating a strong leadership pipeline.

The ideal candidate is a proven multi-unit leader with extensive experience managing complex operations, driving P&L performance, building high-performing teams, and creating consistent guest experiences across multiple locations. This role balances strategic leadership with hands-on field execution to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and deliver results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Own overall district performance including revenue growth, profitability, operational consistency, guest experience, and execution of company initiatives across all assigned locations.
• Lead, coach, and develop General Managers through consistent communication, performance management, operational reviews, and leadership development.
• Build a strong leadership pipeline through talent identification, succession planning, career development, and development of future operations leaders.
• Recruit, select, onboard, and retain high-performing General Managers who align with company values and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Provide strategic direction and accountability to ensure locations achieve sales, labor, cost, and operational goals.
• Review district financial performance including revenue, labor, COGS, operating expenses, forecasting, and budget performance while partnering with leaders on action plans.
• Identify business opportunities and create district-level strategies to improve sales performance across events, food and beverage, attractions, and guest engagement.
• Analyze operational metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement action plans to improve execution and profitability.
• Conduct regular location visits to assess operational standards, facility readiness, safety compliance, brand standards, and overall business performance.
• Partner with General Managers to ensure consistent execution of company programs, initiatives, and operational expectations across all locations.
• Serve as a strategic coach and resource for General Managers by providing guidance, removing obstacles, and driving accountability.
• Support major capital projects, facility improvements, and operational enhancements in partnership with leadership teams.
• Manage escalated guest concerns and operational challenges by identifying root causes and implementing solutions that improve the overall guest experience.
• Maintain a strong field presence during key business periods including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak operating hours.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises General Managers across an assigned district portfolio and provides leadership, coaching, and accountability to location leadership teams.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Extensive multi-unit leadership experience in high-volume entertainment, hospitality, restaurant, retail, or related customer-focused environments.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple locations with responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance.
• Strong track record developing General Managers and building high-performing leadership teams.
• Advanced financial acumen including P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, labor optimization, margin management, and cost control.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze business performance, identify opportunities, and execute action plans.
• Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence leaders across multiple locations.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.
• Strong understanding of sales-building strategies, guest experience, and operational excellence.
• Experience with succession planning, talent development, and building long-term leadership capability.
• Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling platforms, inventory systems, reporting tools, and standard productivity software.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 7+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in high-volume food and beverage, hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, or retail operations. Experience leading multiple locations, managing P&L performance, and developing General Managers required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Fast-paced, multi-location leadership environment requiring regular travel between assigned locations. Ability to walk, stand, bend, and move throughout entertainment venues for extended periods. Schedule flexibility required including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
