The U.S. Controllership team is responsible for U.S. GAAP reporting, statutory financial statements, month-end close, balance sheet governance, audit support, and legal entity compliance across OpenText's U.S. operations.
We partner closely with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, HR, and business leaders to provide accounting expertise, maintain strong financial controls, support strategic initiatives, and drive continuous process improvement. The team also plays a key role in acquisitions, legal entity restructurings, system implementations, and other enterprise-wide projects while ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
To Succeed3–5 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role, preferably within a public technology company.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to build effective partnerships.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
Understanding of accounting ERP systems; experience with enterprise financial platforms is considered an asset.
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take initiative while continuously learning and developing.
University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA designation or progress toward a CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
