Data Engineer / Data Analyst

Role Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that enable informed business decision-making.

This role combines data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence to transform raw data into valuable insights while ensuring data quality, scalability, and reliability across the organization.

The role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of structured and unstructured data, developing automated data pipelines, maintaining databases, and creating dashboards and reports to support business operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify data-driven opportunities, and deliver actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities include designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, developing data models, ensuring data accuracy and governance, performing statistical and trend analysis, and creating interactive dashboards using business intelligence tools.

The role also includes monitoring data quality, identifying anomalies, automating reporting processes, supporting predictive analytics initiatives, and documenting data architecture and technical workflows.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for working with data. You will contribute to building scalable data infrastructure, improving reporting capabilities, and enabling business growth through reliable data management, advanced analytics, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Java for data processing and analysis.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, data transformation, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar database technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern data technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Snowflake, Databricks, or Apache Spark is an advantage.
• Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of statistical analysis, predictive analytics, machine learning fundamentals, and data mining techniques is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful business insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with version control systems, Git, API integration, and data pipeline orchestration tools is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining high standards of data accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities effectively.
