Market Data Analyst (Valuation & Product Control) – Banking- Contract

About the Role

We are looking for a Market Data Analyst to support a leading banking client within the Valuation & Product Control function. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in financial institutions who have exposure to market data, valuations, product control, financial markets, or investment banking operations.

You will support the daily market data sourcing process, perform analytical reviews, investigate market data exceptions, and contribute to automation and enhancement initiatives that improve operational efficiency and valuation accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end market rates sourcing process from data source to downstream distribution.
• Configure and maintain market rates used for end-of-day valuation processes.
• Monitor, investigate and resolve market data exceptions and pricing issues.
• Perform daily trend analysis on market movements and key market data drivers.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of market data for end-of-day valuation processes.
• Support Product Control and Valuation teams with daily operational activities.
• Participate in system testing for automation, enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
• Track project deliverables and coordinate implementation activities.
• Maintain accurate market data records, documentation and operational procedures.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data quality and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across market data and valuation processes.
• Provide analytical support for investigations relating to pricing and market data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in banking or financial institutions.
• Experience in Market Data, Product Control, Valuation, Treasury Operations, Middle Office or Investment Banking Operations is preferred.
• Good understanding of financial markets and market data concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SQL, Python, VBA, Power BI or other reporting tools will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of fixed income, interest rates, credit products or derivatives is beneficial.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Able to support operational activities during Singapore Public Holidays when required.
