About the Role

Brookfield is recruiting for a Senior Analyst, Capital Markets located in New York or Boston. The role represents an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team. Reporting to the Director, Capital Markets, the role is part of a collaborative team of professionals focused on capital markets activities and growth initiatives for Brookfield’s Renewable and Infrastructure businesses.

The Senior Analyst will work closely with the team responsible for executing project financings, acquisition financings and advising on strategic initiatives aimed at achieving long-term growth objectives.

The Senior Analyst will interface with members of the senior management team, key finance and business leaders, portfolio company management and important outside service providers (banks, lenders, investors, credit rating agencies, accounting and legal advisors).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing debt and tax equity financings, including owning the model, assisting with deliverables and diligence efforts, and coordinating with investors, legal advisors and consultants to achieve financial close.
• Coordinate with the corporate development and construction teams to ensure construction and term financings are properly suited to development and construction timelines.
• Assist in developing financing strategies for presentation to senior management.
• Support the Capital Markets team on projects to enhance financial management of the organization.

• Knowledge and Experience

Required

Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.2+ years of previous experience in project finance or investment banking.

Experience in financial modeling and familiarity with tax equity and debt structures.

Experience in renewables would be an asset.

Recognized professional designation (CFA, CPA) would be an asset.

Strong leadership skills, including a strong sense of personal ownership, commitment, and accountability.

High level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point and strong financial modeling skills.

Well organized and ability to synthesize and conceptualize complex ideas.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, effective with both internal and external stakeholders.

Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

Able to meet multiple objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site to perform most effectively.

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000, bonus eligible.
