Banking & Finance Associate (Leveraged Finance / Private Credit)

Our AmLaw 100 client is seeking a talented Banking & Finance Associate to join its market-leading New York practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated financing transactions while building a long-term career with a nationally recognized firm.

The ideal candidate will have experience representing both lenders and borrowers in leveraged finance, debt finance, and/or private credit transactions.

About the Role

You will advise sophisticated financial institutions, private equity sponsors, investment funds, and corporate borrowers on a broad range of complex financing transactions. This role offers significant client exposure, hands-on responsibility, and the opportunity to work alongside highly regarded practitioners on high-profile domestic and cross-border matters.

Candidate Profile

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• 3-6 years of Banking & Finance experience
• Experience representing lenders and borrowers in leveraged finance, debt finance, private credit, or similar financing transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility to practice in New York. Attorneys currently practicing at a New York law firm are strongly encouraged to apply
