EVgo’s Growth Strategy & Operations team enables the expansion and scaling of the nation’s largest public fast charging network through deep, strategic partnerships with a select group of the country’s largest and most sophisticated retailers and property owners (site hosts). The team serves as the bridge between internal and external stakeholders from network planning through construction complete, eliminating friction within the delivery process and enabling EVgo to complete more sites, faster and predictably.
The team is seeking a Sr Site Development Manager to transform approved site opportunities into construction-ready EV charging sites.
Managing a portfolio of assigned sites, this role leads the site development process from early-stage feasibility through construction-ready by integrating commercial, engineering, legal, and operational requirements into a buildable solution that meets the needs of both EVgo and its strategic partners.
Success is measured by consistently producing a high volume of high-quality, commercially aligned site designs, earning the confidence of strategic partners through disciplined execution and predictable operating rhythms, and delivering construction-ready projects that accelerate network growth.
Working in close partnership with Portfolio Partner Management, Program Management, Development Engineering, Legal, Grid, and Construction, the Sr Site Development Manager leads the site development process by evaluating feasibility, preparing preliminary site layouts, facilitating alignment on site designs, managing development changes, coordinating development documentation, and resolving site-level risks.
While Development Engineering owns detailed engineering design, code compliance, permit drawings, and engineering approvals, the Sr Site Development Manager ensures engineering solutions remain aligned with Site Host objectives, commercial agreements, constructability, and overall project development goals.
The Sr Site Development Manager develops the technical and commercial recommendations that support lease and license negotiations, partners with Legal to execute development agreements consistent with negotiated business terms and proactively resolves issues that could delay construction or negatively impact partner operations.
This is a production-oriented project development role for a highly collaborative, team-first professional that excels at bringing together diverse stakeholders to create clarity and momentum throughout the development process.
Combining commercial awareness with technical judgment and disciplined execution, they build trusted working relationships and predictable operating rhythms with strategic partners, proactively manage development risks, and consistently advance a high volume of projects to construction-ready that meet the objectives of both EVgo and its strategic partners.
