Risk Management Specialist

Location: Waterloo, ON - 5x Per MONTH

Pay: $65,000-$75,000

Employment: Full-Time Permanent

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support a leading Canadian Life Insurance organization in Waterloo, ON. This individual will be responsible for conducting quality reviews and audits, identifying operational risks and control gaps, analyzing trends, performing root cause analysis, and providing coaching and feedback to business teams.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Individual Life Insurance operations combined with experience in risk, controls, compliance, audit, or quality management within a regulated financial services environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-3+ years of experience within Individual Life Insurance operations;

Strong understanding of the individual life insurance policy lifecycle, products, terminology, and processes

-3+ years of financial controls and risk mitigation frameworks and experience conducting root cause analysis, gap analysis, and trend analysis

-Experience analyzing data and reporting on findings

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power BI

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-Anti-fraud, fraud investigation, or operational risk management experience

-Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or process improvement experience

-Technical writing experience

-Accounting background with exposure to internal controls

-Familiarity with OSFI guidelines and control frameworks

-Experience working within a highly regulated financial services environment
