About the Role
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the firm's Client Development & Engagement initiatives through the effective use of marketing technology, digital communications, and content marketing strategies.
This role manages marketing platforms, website content, CRM systems, email marketing, webinars, podcasts, digital events, analytics, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance client engagement and business development efforts.
Location: Los Angeles, California (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Content Strategy
- Support the development and execution of digital marketing and content marketing initiatives.
- Promote publications, webinars, podcasts, videos, and other digital content across marketing channels.
- Assist in developing digital campaigns that strengthen client engagement and brand awareness.
- Ensure consistency of messaging across all digital communications.
- Maintain adherence to firm branding standards and marketing guidelines.
Marketing Communications
- Develop, schedule, and distribute electronic marketing communications.
- Create marketing emails, invitations, announcements, and promotional materials.
- Maintain quality control for all digital communications before distribution.
- Develop and maintain targeted distribution lists supporting marketing initiatives.
- Support client development activities through effective digital communication strategies.
Event Technology Management
- Manage the technical components of webinars, virtual events, and marketing programs.
- Create and maintain online event registration forms.
- Coordinate invitation distribution and attendee communications.
- Monitor event reporting and participant engagement metrics.
- Ensure seamless integration between event platforms and marketing technologies.
Email Marketing
- Administer and maintain the firm's email marketing platform.
- Create, modify, and manage email templates.
- Configure user accounts and provide end-user training.
- Troubleshoot email marketing platform issues.
- Optimize email marketing campaigns for engagement and performance.
Website & Digital Experience
- Manage website and extranet content updates.
- Publish, edit, and remove digital content as required.
- Support Search Engine Optimization (SEO) initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with website accessibility standards.
- Recommend and implement website functionality and user experience improvements.
- Support branding updates across digital properties.
CRM & Data Management
- Maintain and update the firm's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Enter, modify, validate, and audit CRM data.
- Analyze customer and marketing data to support business development initiatives.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Support CRM reporting and marketing segmentation efforts.
Marketing Technology
- Configure, integrate, and maintain marketing technology platforms.
- Collaborate with internal technology teams to implement new marketing solutions.
- Support platform enhancements, integrations, and system upgrades.
- Recommend technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot technical issues affecting marketing systems.
Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Develop marketing dashboards and performance reports.
- Analyze campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor digital marketing performance metrics and engagement data.
- Provide actionable insights supporting business development decisions.
- Support data-driven marketing strategy improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Client Development, Marketing, Information Technology, and other business teams.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Support firm-wide marketing and business development initiatives.
- Stay informed on emerging digital marketing trends and technologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of marketing operations and best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
- Four or more years of experience in digital marketing, marketing technology, CRM administration, or marketing operations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with email marketing platforms and digital marketing technologies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred
- Experience working within a law firm or professional services organization.
- Knowledge of HTML.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or InterAction.
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Vuture or Mailchimp.
- Experience with webinar platforms including ON24 and Zoom.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website accessibility standards.
- Experience managing websites, digital events, and marketing analytics.
