We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager based in Phoenix, Arizona to lead operations throughout our Arizona and Nevada markets. Travel: Approximately 25–40% travel throughout the Arizona and Nevada markets.

Salary Range

$110,000 - $130,000 annually DOE + Quarterly Performance BonusesBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Sick Time, Life Insurance, and 401(k) with Company Match.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee regional operations across Arizona and Nevada, including the Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas markets.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and operational support to Area Managers, Logistics Coordinators, and regional teams while ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Lead daily transportation operations including routing, dispatching, customer service, contractor management, and operational execution.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers including leading pharmaceutical, laboratory, healthcare, and retail organizations while identifying opportunities to improve service levels, strengthen partnerships, and support future business growth.
• Develop strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, maximize resources, and support continued regional growth.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Area Managers to maximize performance, accountability, and career advancement.
• Maintain ownership of regional Profit & Loss performance by monitoring expenses, improving operational efficiencies, and identifying opportunities to increase profitability.
• Conduct regular operational reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational performance.
• Utilize DSA's transportation management system (CXT) and other logistics technology platforms to optimize routing, reporting, settlements, and operational visibility.
• Collaborate with Area Managers on contractor recruitment, vendor negotiations, and market expansion opportunities.
• Ensure transportation services consistently meet customer expectations, contractual obligations, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and performance metrics.
• Prepare and present operational reports, financial updates, and performance summaries to executive leadership.
• Review customer orders, transportation schedules, shipping requirements, and service metrics to ensure efficient daily execution.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• SUPERVISORY

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct leadership and oversight for Area Managers and regional operations teams.
• Ensure all markets are appropriately staffed, trained, and operating efficiently.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DSA policies and all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, mentor, and develop employees while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, address employee concerns, and administer corrective action when necessary.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold teams accountable to operational and customer service standards.
• Maintain full regional Profit & Loss responsibility while driving operational and financial performance.
• Promote a culture centered on safety, integrity, collaboration, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
• EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field is preferred.
• EXPERIENCE10+ years of transportation and logistics experience required. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing operations and people.
• Experience managing multiple locations, markets, or regional operations is strongly preferred.
• Final-mile transportation experience is required.
• Experience supporting healthcare logistics, including pharmaceuticals, laboratory specimens, medical supplies, or other time-sensitive transportation is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Profit & Loss management, budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial performance.
• Experience utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships while leading high-performing operational teams.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for handling sensitive healthcare shipments is preferred.
