Senior Accountant

Respect for non-discrimination and equal opportunity is an integral part of our human resources practices, particularly in recruitmentAs a Senior Accountant, you are responsible for the accounting of the entities supervised in Africa, in compliance with the standards of the countries concerned — covering accounting, tax, payroll and related social matters.

You work closely with contacts based in the subsidiaries (both operational and administrative teams).

Reporting to the Chief Accountant based in Monaco, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General Accounting
• Record and file accounting documents in accordance with accounting principles (IFRS)
• Prepare and post sales invoices for various operational projects
• Prepare and post monthly closing accruals
• Prepare monthly reconciliations (payroll, sales, etc.)
• Monitor, analyse and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Handle intercompany rebillings, offsetting and payments
• Review and integrate interfaces into the accounting system
• Contribute to the preparation of audit files
• Cost Accounting
• Carry out monthly reviews and analysis of various projects
• Provide explanations for the main variances
• The Senior Accountant will also take part in administrative projects, such as the roll-out of new IT tools or the strengthening of internal controls.

Required skills

• Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in an accounting firm or an international company
• Solid knowledge of general accounting
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong team spirit and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Contract: 5-month fixed-term contract, with the position to be filled as soon as possible.
