Senior Tax Accountant

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations, including Corporate Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing, and E-Invoicing requirements across assigned entities.

This role will play a key part in tax reporting, audits, risk management, process improvement initiatives, and providing tax advisory support to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Tax

• Prepare and review Corporate Tax computations and related tax schedules.
• Prepare and submit Corporate Tax Returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Calculate deferred tax and support tax accounting requirements.
• Review business transactions and provide guidance on tax implications.
• Ensure full compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements.

VAT Compliance

• Prepare and review VAT returns and ensure timely filing and payment.
• Manage VAT reconciliations, adjustments, and refund applications.
• Maintain the Group VAT asset register.
• Review tax invoices and supporting documentation to ensure VAT compliance.

Transfer Pricing

• Prepare and maintain Transfer Pricing documentation, including Master File and Local File.
• Conduct benchmarking analyses and support Transfer Pricing disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Transfer Pricing regulations.

E-Invoicing Compliance

• Support the implementation and ongoing management of UAE e-invoicing requirements.
• Coordinate ERP integration with accredited service providers.
• Monitor invoice transmission processes and resolve exceptions.
• Maintain compliance reports, audit trails, and supporting documentation.

Tax Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare tax provisions and reconcile tax-related GL accounts.
• Review tax journals and support month-end and year-end reporting.
• Assist with deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures in accordance with IFRS.

Tax Audits & Compliance

• Coordinate with tax authorities and external auditors during audits.
• Prepare audit documentation and respond to tax notices and assessments.
• Support regulatory inspections and ensure timely closure of audit requirements.

Process Improvement & Risk Management

• Monitor changes in UAE tax legislation and assess business impact.
• Identify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Review ERP tax configurations and validate tax codes.
• Support tax automation initiatives and continuous process improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

• 4–5 years of experience in Finance, Taxation, or Accounting.
• Minimum 2–3 years of UAE tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and Transfer Pricing regulations.
• Experience dealing with FTA compliance and tax audits.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
