Tax Exchange of Information Specialist

Role Purpose

To support the competent authority’s obligations under Exchange of Information on Request (EOIR), Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI), and treaty-based cooperation by processing inbound and outbound information requests in accordance with international standards, domestic law, and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process EOI requests from foreign competent authorities under tax treaties, TIEAs, and multilateral agreements.
• Conduct initial validation of requests to ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements (e.g. foreseeable relevance, scope, confidentiality).
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and domestic authorities to collect relevant information within prescribed timelines.
• Prepare draft responses and supporting documentation for review and approval.
• Maintain accurate case management records, audit trails, and statistics for reporting purposes.
• Support the handling of EOIR and other EOI related operational tasks as required.
• Adhere strictly to confidentiality, data protection, and information security requirements.
• Contribute to performance metrics, including turnaround times and quality standards.
• Experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in tax administration, international taxation, regulatory compliance, financial services, or a related field.
• Exposure to tax treaties, information exchange, or regulatory reporting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Taxation, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional tax or accounting qualifications are an advantage.

Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.

Ability to work with confidential information and meet strict deadlines.
