We are seeking a commercially driven and experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance operations and support the company’s strategic growth within the contracting and construction industry.

Position Overview

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the complete financial and accounting operations of the company, ensuring strong financial control, compliance, and profitability across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate must have solid experience in contracting or construction companies and possess strong expertise in project accounting, cash flow management, job costing, accounts receivable/payable, banking facilities, Letters of Credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and contract-related financial management.

Candidates with CA qualification will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall finance and accounting operations of the organization
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Oversee project accounting, job costing, budgeting, and profitability analysis
• Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP), revenue recognition, retention, progress billing, and variations
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions effectively
• Handle banking relationships, Letters of Credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and other trade finance activities
• Monitor company cash flow and optimize working capital management
• Review and manage contract-related financial obligations and risks
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and statutory requirements
• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Implement and improve financial controls, policies, and ERP processes
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team

Requirements

• CA preferred / ACCA / CPA / Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 15-20 years of finance and accounting experience
• Minimum 5 years in a Finance Manager or Finance Controller role
• Mandatory experience in contracting or construction companies in the UAE
• Strong expertise in:
• Project accounting
• Job costing
• WIP reporting
• AR & AP management
• Revenue recognition
• Variations and retention
• Letters of Credit (LCs)
• Bank guarantees
• Contract finance management
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and financial regulations
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar platforms
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
