The Revenue Accountant is responsible for providing professional advice to both the Finance function and the wider business, ensuring accurate recognition of revenues and cost of sales for direct services in accordance with accounting standards. This role involves developing and applying relevant Finance policies to drive process improvements within the Finance function, with a focus on Revenue Accountant.

The accountant will also analyze performance, identify root cause problems, and examine different revenue and cost streams related to revenue. Additionally, this role will support new product development in the design and system implementation stages.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Ensure accurate recognition of revenues according to IFRS 15 standards and any relevant local rules.

Ensure proper booking of cost of sales, including interconnection costs, commissions, and device costs.

Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis team, assisting with inputs into budgets and providing insights into variances to budgets.

Ensure all balance sheet maintained by the team are reconciled to the trial balance.

Proactively identify and implement reporting, system, and process improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in the wider finance functionAnalyze performance and identify root cause problems to drive continuous improvement.

Examine different revenue and cost streams related to revenue to optimize financial performance.

• Support new product development by providing financial insights during the design and system implementation stages
• Undertake similar or related duties as directed by senior management for business needs
• Transit account reconciliation with banks and payment channel
• Supporting in preparation of IFRS-9 provision
• Core competencies, knowledge and experience: Excellent knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.

Minimum 3-4 years of in-depth experience in revenue and margin accounting.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good relationships in a startup environment.

Ability to be flexible in a changing environment and work to strict deadlinesProactive attitude with the ability to identify areas for improvementExcellent attention to detail.

Advanced Excel skills and excellent reporting skillsExperience in analyzing performance, identifying root cause problems, and examining revenue and cost streams.

Accurate and timely recognition and reporting of revenues, cost of sales, and stocks.

No significant audit findings.

Up-to-date relevant Company accounting manual policies.

Robust controls and reconciliations with other IT systems and platforms (e.g., BSS, logistics/warehouse).

Robust set of procedures and controls to ensure oversight and control over stocks.

Effectiveness in analyzing performance, identifying root cause problems, and optimizing revenue and cost streams.

Must have technical / professional qualifications: University Degree in Accounting or a related subject.

Qualified with ACCA is preferred.
