Oil & Gas Houlihan Lokey’s Oil & Gas (O&G) Group is a recognized leader in providing a wide range of investment banking advisory services to companies and investors operating in the oil & gas industry.

This dedicated team of financial and technical professionals focuses primarily on large, complex transactions in the oil & gas industry, including across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors as well as in molecule-related alternative energies.

The O&G Group is comprised of a global team with dedicated industry bankers in Dubai, Hong Kong, Houston, Dallas, New York and Londonand regularly works on cross-border deals. The O&G Group is a cross-product industry vertical.

ScopeThe O&G team in Dubai is looking to hire an Off-Cycle intern, who will work on deals across the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region. Given the coverage of the APAC markets, the candidate may be open to the longer-term opportunity of being located in Hong Kong.

You may work on transactions that provide exposure to a broad range of client industries and investment banking services. You will work with a talented, dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting companies and investors today.

You will research and analyse financial statements, general economic conditions, industry-specific developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and investment attributes of publicly traded and private companies. You will also gain intimate knowledge of capital raisings and financing structures.

Requirements/

Qualifications

• Strong academic background3-6 months minimum prior internship experience in Investment Banking.
• M&A/Corporate Finance experience preferable
• Strong financial and computer skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Solid accounting and finance knowledge (i.e. understanding of financial statements analysis)
• Some understanding of financial modelling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Mandarin language advantageous
• The candidate must be motivated and have the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately highly rewarding environment.
