About the Job

JOB PURPOSE

Manage tax compliance and strategy in the company overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning within the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of all required tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position, including minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing available tax benefits.
• Review the Group Structure and advise on tax optimization
• Prepare and review corporation tax calculations and returns
• Prepare and review VAT calculations and returns
• Review Transfer Pricing procedures, business processes and intercompany transactions in line with local Transfer Pricing Regulations, OECD guidelines and the Group’s existing Transfer Pricing Policy to ensure Transfer Pricing compliance and advise Businesses accordingly
• Ensure correct and timely filing of all Transfer Pricing Documentation including TP Master Files, TP Local Files, Intercompany transaction Reporting etc.
• Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) –Preparation of the CbCR document and filing with the Tax Authorities
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting and tax standards, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Manage tax audits, inquiries, and examinations by government authorities, providing required documentation and support.
• Identify and assess tax risks and opportunities, keeping the company informed of potential tax implications of business decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, conducting research to interpret their impact on the organization.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing guidance on tax matters.
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation to support tax filings and compliance.
• Work closely with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Professional qualification e.g. CA/ACCA/CPA or a Masters in Law
• Must have 3-4 years of experience working as a Tax Manager in a Big 4 or an MNC
• Must have 7 years of experience in dealing with Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing & VAT in the GCC or Europe, with a proven track record of managing tax compliance and planning
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools.
