Country Business Head - Dubai

A leading regional bank is seeking an accomplished banking executive to lead and drive the growth of its Dubai operations. This is a leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the UAE banking sector, a strong commercial mindset, and a proven ability to deliver sustainable business growth while ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall business strategy, performance, and operations of the Bank's Dubai Branch.
• Develop and execute business growth strategies to expand corporate, commercial, SME, treasury, and trade finance portfolios.
• Drive profitability, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market share while maintaining a strong risk and compliance culture.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key clients, regulators, government authorities, and strategic stakeholders across the UAE.Ensure full compliance with all applicable UAE banking regulations and governance requirements.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic initiatives to enhance the Bank's presence in the market.
• Oversee operational efficiency, service excellence, business continuity, audit, and regulatory compliance across the country operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and customer-centricity.
• Collaborate with regional and head office leadership to deliver strategic objectives and execute cross-border business initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline.

Minimum 20 years of banking experience, including 10–15 years with a UAE bank and at least 5 years in a country leadership or senior banking operations role, with strong expertise in Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Treasury, and Relationship Management.

Demonstrated success in managing P&L, driving business growth, and leading multi-functional banking operations.

Strong knowledge of the UAE banking landscape, regulatory environment, and market dynamics.

Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and business development capabilities.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Fluency in English is essential; Arabic will be an advantage.
