As an Accountant at Meliá, you will be an integral part of a financial team ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with accounting and legal standards in the UAE. You will work closely with all hotel departments to maintain financial integrity and minimize operational risks. This role requires an organized, proactive, and reliable individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate financial records through income audits, cashiering controls, and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform daily operational audits and verify revenue, adjustments, rebates, complimentary services, and cash transactions.
• Monitor inventories, spoilage reports, warehouse issues, and purchasing procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Support month-end reporting, financial reconciliations, and preparation of finance reports.
• Work closely with all hotel departments to maintain financial accuracy and minimize operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, hotel policies, and UAE legal requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a General Accountant, Income Auditor, or in a similar role within a luxury hotel.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Income Audit, General Cashiering, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Opera, Micros, Microsoft Office, and hotel financial systems.
• Language: Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail; a proactive, organized, and reliable team player; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
