As a Business Analyst, you will explore and analyse business services and processes to develop and shape requirements into discrete 'value add' pieces of work. You'll be working with Agile product teams or programme teams to design and develop suitable solutions and more effective 'to-be' service / process models to support the user community in defining their needs.
Additionally, you will work with a broad range of stakeholders including users, service owners and product delivery teams to support the business case, project scope definition and full project delivery lifecycle."
Your responsibilities will include the following:"
Project Assignments
In due course, support business case definition - provide information about a target business service and proposed change initiative for use in construction of a business case.
Work with key stakeholders and the project team to fully understand the project scope and objectives.
Advise on the most suitable methods and levels of analysis, and level of stakeholder engagement required.
Provide input into the overall project plan owned by the project manager.
Review and document the current 'as-is' operation of the service
Agree and document definitions of business domain terminology.
Identify reported business problems and their impacts.
Use process models to represent to stakeholders how the service operates. Models will be drawn to show different levels of detail as required.
Work with various stakeholders to establish underlying causes of business problems and / or the desired target business process model.
Support the design of future 'to-be' processes, models and solutions
Work closely with the project team, including solutions architects and technical leads, as well as the service users, to support design, delivery and testing phases of the project.
Analyse and review the business options and elicit agreement on a preferred option.
Document detailed to-be process models and scenarios (e.g. user stories, use cases) in line with agreed project deliverables.
Elicit, Document, Manage Business Requirements
Based on the preferred design model and agreed project approach, work with key stakeholders to define business requirements.
Ensure requirements are documented at a suitable level of detail based on project stages and objectives (from initial high level through to detail required to design a solution).
Document, publish and communicate requirements in a format suitable for dependent activities (e.g. procurement, option evaluation and gap analysis, detailed design and configuration, testing, etc.).
You have previously worked on projects delivering change, ideally within Agile environments, and understand the business analysis service. With your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you've facilitated workshops and conducted stakeholder interviews to extract relevant information and are able to prioritise and manage your time effectively.
You can clearly define and articulate business process concepts to end users and colleagues across the business and process excellent presentation skills. Additionally, you can work effectively in a collaborative team environment sharing knowledge and can take ownership of problems solving them with your analytic skills and logical thinking.
