Job Title - Commercial Data Analyst

Pay rate - $40 - 50/ hr

Location - Englewood, CO

3+ Months contract to hire role

Delivers advanced analytics and strategic insights to drive commercial performance, revenue growth, and pricing optimization across the organization. This role reports to the Director of Commercial Operations and partners closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and other senior leaders.

This individual will collaborate with key cross-functional partners—including finance, marketing, and, to a lesser extent, operations—to develop customer segmentation frameworks, pricing models, and performance analytics that support data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with business acumen and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that influence leadership and shape commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Business Performance

• Partner with commercial leadership to analyze revenue performance, customer growth, and margin drivers across products, services, and markets.
• Develop financial and operational models to support strategic initiatives including market expansion, product portfolio optimization, and commercial planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance through pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and sales effectiveness initiatives.
• Support annual planning, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning through data-driven insights.

Customer Segmentation & Market Analytics

• Design and implement customer segmentation models based on purchasing behavior, profitability, growth potential, and operational characteristics.
• Develop account prioritization frameworks to help commercial teams target high-value customer segments.
• Analyze customer behavior, purchasing patterns, and market dynamics to inform targeted commercial strategies.
• Provide insights supporting sales territory optimization and go-to-market strategy.

Pricing Strategy & Optimization

• Develop and maintain pricing models evaluating margin performance, price elasticity, discount structures, and pricing competitiveness.
• Conduct pricing optimization and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives, product launches, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor pricing performance across products, services, and customer segments to identify margin improvement opportunities.
• Partner with finance and commercial leadership to establish data-driven pricing strategies.

Advanced Analytics & Data Visualization

• Develop dashboards and analytical tools to monitor key commercial KPIs including revenue growth, margin performance, customer acquisition, and market share.
• Analyze large datasets to identify key drivers of performance and uncover strategic opportunities.
• Deliver executive-ready insights through clear storytelling, presentations, and data visualizations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operation teams to support commercial initiatives and performance management.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Lead complex analytical projects and support best practices in commercial analytics and data governance.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field
• 6-8+ years of experience in commercial analytics, strategy, consulting, or business analytics
• Experience with customer segmentation modeling, pricing analytics, and commercial performance analysis
• Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis capabilities
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)

Preferred

• Experience in healthcare services, healthcare distribution, life sciences, or healthcare technology
• Experience working with large commercial datasets (sales, customer, operational,   market data)
• Experience with SQL, Python, or predictive analytics tools
• MBA or advanced degree in analytics, finance, or business
