We're growing our New York sales team, and this role is for someone who brings real energy and conviction to every conversation — not just a technical pitch. You'll open doors across a broader set of buyers, build genuine relationships, and bring people along on the Formance story even when they're not starting from deep technical context.

This isn't a role for someone who follows a script. It's for someone who's curious, honest about what they don't know yet, and genuinely enjoys turning a skeptical prospect into a believer.

What You'll Actually Do

• Own the full sales cycle — from first conversation to signed contract — on deals ranging from $100K to $300K ACV, engaging a mix of technical and business buyers (VPs of Product, Heads of Payments, Finance and Ops leaders) at fintechs and financial platforms.
• Build trust quickly, even in unfamiliar territory — you don't need to be the most technical person in the room to make the customer feel confident in Formance.
• Work closely with our founders and engineering team, bringing back what you hear from the market to help shape what we build next.
• Navigate procurement and compliance in regulated environments, and close with genuine conviction rather than pressure.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

• 3+ years in B2B tech sales, with a track record of building real relationships and closing complex deals — technical background is a plus, not a requirement.
• US market experience: you understand how enterprise and mid-market deals move here — procurement cycles, legal constraints, stakeholder dynamics.
• Comfort being early — the playbook is still being written, and your judgment and energy matter more than following a process.
