As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to lead and continuously improve the movement of products from international suppliers through our UK distribution network and into our stores.
This is a highly visible operational leadership role that combines logistics expertise, commercial awareness, supplier management, data-driven decision making and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve operational performance.

Working Pattern
- Full-time
- Hybrid working (Tuesday, Thursday and one additional agreed office day)
- Flexible working hours (8-hour day plus 30-minute lunch)
- Start time between 8:00am and 10:00am
Role Purpose
The Logistics & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the efficient flow of products from suppliers through the UK distribution network and into stores, ensuring high product availability, operational efficiency and exceptional service.
The role will optimise logistics operations, inventory flow and distribution performance whilst driving continuous improvement through technology, automation and Artificial Intelligence. Working collaboratively across Operations, Merchandising, Retail, Finance and external logistics partners, the role will ensure the supply chain supports profitable growth and an outstanding customer experience.
- Logistics, Imports & Distribution
Accountability
Lead the efficient movement of products through the end-to-end logistics network, ensuring stock is imported, received, allocated and distributed effectively to support business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound international and domestic logistics operations.
- Coordinate freight forwarders, shipping providers, customs agents and third-party logistics partners.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively manage delays or operational risks.
- Ensure import documentation and customs processes are completed accurately and compliantly.
- Manage warehouse receipt schedules and inbound planning.
- Lead store replenishment and stock allocation activities.
- Coordinate distribution to stores, promotional launches and new store openings.
- Manage inter-store stock transfers where appropriate.
- Ensure high levels of product availability while minimising stock shortages and overstock.
- Continuously improve logistics performance, delivery accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Supply Chain Performance & Inventory Management
Accountability
Provide operational leadership through effective inventory management, reporting and performance analysis to optimise stock flow and support commercial decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and stock availability across the retail estate.
- Analyse stock movement, replenishment performance and distribution effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities through data analysis.
- Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure supply chain data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Support forecasting and inventory planning activities.
- Produce regular operational reports for senior leadership.
- Drive improvements in inventory accuracy and stock visibility.
- Supplier & Operational Partnership Management
Accountability
Develop strong internal and external partnerships that deliver outstanding operational performance, commercial value and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders and warehouse partners.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed service level agreements.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
- Negotiate commercial solutions with logistics providers where appropriate.
- Build strong working relationships with Operations, Retail, Merchandising, Marketing and Finance.
- Support stores in resolving logistics and distribution issues quickly and professionally.
- Participate in operational planning and business review meetings.
- Champion collaboration across the end-to-end supply chain.
- Ensure suppliers consistently deliver against operational and commercial expectations.
- Continuous Improvement, Technology & Artificial Intelligence
Accountability
Lead the continuous improvement of the logistics and supply chain function through innovation, technology, automation and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology and automation.
- Apply AI solutions to enhance forecasting, replenishment, inventory optimisation and operational reporting.
- Introduce automated reporting and dashboard solutions to improve visibility and decision making.
- Reduce manual administration through workflow automation.
- Improve shipment visibility and exception management using digital technologies.
- Evaluate emerging logistics technologies and recommend practical business applications.
- Lead continuous improvement projects across logistics and supply chain operations.
- Measure and report the business impact of improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of innovation and operational excellence across the function.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Retail multi-site distribution experience
- Significant experience within retail logistics, supply chain or distribution management.
- Experience managing international imports and freight operations.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and store replenishment.
- Experience managing supplier performance and service level agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP, Warehouse Management or Supply Chain systems.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and negotiation capability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced retail environment.
Desirable AI Experience
Demonstrate practical experience using Artificial Intelligence or automation to improve logistics or supply chain performance.
