LoanMAPS is building a modern mortgage platform that connects the full loan lifecycle through one trusted system of record. We help reduce fragmented systems, manual handoffs, duplicate data entry, uncertainty, and key-person dependency across CRM, POS, LOS, pricing, compliance, underwriting, document management, closing, investor delivery, and post-closing.

We are seeking a mid-level Product Manager to support the continued development of LoanMAPS. This is an individual contributor role for someone with relevant experience in mortgage operations, mortgage technology, product management, business systems, integrations, or a related field who wants to continue developing their product expertise.

This role may be hybrid or remote based on qualifications.

About the Opportunity

The Product Manager will support product discovery, workflow analysis, requirements development, integrations, testing, stakeholder communication, documentation, and implementation planning.

Candidates do not need to have led an entire mortgage platform. We are looking for someone who can contribute relevant experience, ask thoughtful questions, create clear documentation, collaborate across teams, and reliably move assigned work forward.

Production coding is not required. Candidates should be comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, mortgage data flow, system behavior, and tradeoffs involving business needs, complexity, compliance, scalability, and user experience.

AI-tool experience is helpful, but AI engineering expertise is not required. Curiosity about responsible uses of AI, automation, business rules, and integrations is important.

Key Responsibilities

Mortgage Platform and Product Planning

• Support the continued development of LoanMAPS as a mortgage system of record.
• Work with mortgage and technology leaders to identify workflow, integration, automation, and platform opportunities.
• Translate business needs into product recommendations, requirements, and phased plans.
• Recommend improvements that support efficiency, consistency, compliance, scalability, and user experience.

Workflow and Product Design

• Partner with mortgage operations, compliance, secondary marketing, underwriting, sales, leadership, vendors, and engineering.
• Document current-state and future-state workflows.
• Translate workflows into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and implementation notes.
• Help define system behavior, data requirements, permissions, edge cases, exception handling, audit needs, and visibility.
• Support improvements that reduce friction, improve file quality, shorten cycle times, and increase predictability.

Integrations and Data Flow

• Develop requirements for integrations with mortgage and partner systems, including LOS, POS, PPE, AUS, credit, compliance, document, eSignature, servicing, investor delivery, CRM, and marketing platforms.
• Work with product and engineering to clarify API behavior, data mapping, source-of-truth rules, error handling, monitoring, and partner onboarding.
• Support mortgage data standardization and MISMO-aligned design where appropriate.
• Identify data gaps that limit automation, reporting, operational visibility, or AI-assisted workflows.

AI and Automation

• Use AI tools to support research, documentation, workflow analysis, requirements development, stakeholder summaries, and product discovery.
• Identify responsible AI and automation opportunities that improve mortgage workflows without unnecessary complexity.
• Explore practical mortgage AI and automation use cases.
• Help ensure AI-assisted workflows use reliable data, clear rules, and appropriate human review.
• Recognize when workflow design, business rules, integrations, reporting, or operational changes are more appropriate than AI.

Business and Engineering Collaboration

• Translate mortgage needs into clear information for product and engineering teams.
• Help mortgage stakeholders understand technical constraints, sequencing, and platform implications.
• Help technical teams understand the mortgage purpose behind requested functionality.
• Create documentation that reduces key-person dependency.
• Bring structure to complex or ambiguous problems and help teams reach alignment.

Required Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in product management, mortgage technology, lending technology, business systems analysis, solution design, platform implementation, integrations, mortgage operations, or a related role.
• Two or more years of experience with mortgage origination, mortgage operations, mortgage technology, fintech, lending platforms, or related systems.
• Working knowledge of the mortgage loan lifecycle, including areas such as origination, pricing, disclosures, processing, underwriting, conditions, closing, compliance, investor delivery, or post-closing.
• Experience translating business or operational workflows into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, or implementation notes.
• Working understanding of APIs, integrations, data mapping, system workflows, or software delivery.
• Experience working with technical, product, engineering, implementation, or vendor teams.
• Ability to discuss technical tradeoffs without being a production developer.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in continuing to develop knowledge of mortgage technology, integrations, automation, data design, and AI-assisted business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following is helpful but not required:

• Mortgage LOS, POS, PPE, AUS, compliance, document, eSignature, investor, servicing, CRM, or marketing integrations.
• Encompass, Optimal Blue, Polly, DocMagic, Blend, MeridianLink, nCino, Mortgage Cadence, Byte, Empower, or Black Knight/MSP.
• Mortgage data standards, including MISMO, iLAD, or ULDD.
• API-first product design, workflow automation, or compliance-aware automation.
• AI tools, large language models, prompt design, knowledge-management systems, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Mortgage technology implementation, business systems, integration, solution design, or product roles.

Candidates are not expected to have experience with every platform, integration, or technical concept listed above.

First-Year Success Measures

During the first 12 months, this person will

• Develop a strong understanding of LoanMAPS and its mortgage workflows.
• Document important current-state and future-state processes.
• Create clear and consistent product requirements and supporting documentation.
• Improve communication between mortgage stakeholders, vendors, product teams, and engineering.
• Support integration and partner-onboarding improvements.
• Identify practical workflow, automation, and AI opportunities.
• Help reduce manual touchpoints and key-person dependency.
• Take on increased product responsibility as their knowledge grows.

Compensation and Growth Opportunity

The base salary for this mid-level position is fixed at $85,000 annually.

After demonstrated performance, contribution, and organizational fit, Class B shares may be available as an additional form of bonus compensation, subject to company approval and applicable terms.

This role provides an opportunity to expand your knowledge of mortgage technology, platform design, integrations, automation, and practical AI. Candidates should evaluate the opportunity based on the current title, responsibilities, and stated compensation rather than an expectation of senior-level scope or salary.
