Frontend Engineer - React / Next.js (Contract)

Accessibility isn't a checkbox on this one, it's the point. We're hiring a Frontend Engineer to build customer-facing interfaces for a large regulated UK organisation, where the people using them include those who depend on the service working properly. React, Next and TypeScript, built to a genuinely high bar.

What You'll Do

• Build accessible, high-quality interfaces in React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Ship through Vercel and manage content with Contentful.
• Work closely with design to get the details right.
• Hold a high bar for accessibility across everything you build.

What We're Looking For

• Strong React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with Vercel and a headless CMS, Contentful ideally.
• A real understanding of web accessibility and WCAG.
• Care for performance and usability, not just shipping features.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot as part of your everyday workflow.

Bonus points for experience building for users with a wide range of access needs.

The Details

• Contract, outside IR35.
• 3 to 6 months, with potential to extend.
• Hybrid. You'll work from the client's London, Bristol or Edinburgh office a couple of times a week.
