Data Analyst - HR

Bridgeline Solutions is recruiting for an HR Data Analyst on behalf of a leading professional services organization in downtown Chicago. This is a highly visible, data-focused role supporting workforce reporting and analytics initiatives.

This position offers a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite), and an initial 3-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension. Candidates with deeper experience may be considered at the Senior HR Data Analyst level.

Prior DEI experience is not required. We're seeking someone with strong analytical skills, advanced reporting capabilities, and a genuine commitment to data accuracy. You will transform complex workforce data into clear, actionable reporting used by business leaders and key stakeholders across the organization.

The office is centrally located in Chicago's Loop and easily accessible via CTA and Metra.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative workforce data and develop clear, accurate reporting
• Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
• Calculate representation, retention, attrition, and other workforce metrics
• Respond to internal and client data requests with validated, reliable information
• Support demographic self-identification and workforce data initiatives
• Identify and report on staffing, workforce, and assignment trends over time
• Prepare submissions for external surveys, certifications, rankings, and benchmarking programs
• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to deliver meaningful insights and recommendations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a data analysis, reporting, or workforce analytics role
• Experience working in a law firm
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, trend analysis, and rate calculations
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or a similar business intelligence platform
• Strong data validation, reconciliation, and comparative analysis skills
• Experience working with databases and structured data sources
• Ability to communicate findings and methodologies to non-technical audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Bachelor's degree
• HRIS, CRM, or workforce reporting experience
• SQL or other data querying and scripting experience
