As the Human Resources Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and serve as the organization's sole HR leader, partnering closely with leadership and employees to support every aspect of the employee experience.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, coaching leaders through challenges, and administering thoughtful, people-centered HR practices while managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the function.

Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager will oversee the day-to-day HR function while partnering closely with leadership to foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing workplace. This individual will manage all core HR responsibilities, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and policy administration.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, is exceptionally detail-oriented, communicates with empathy and professionalism, and can confidently coach managers through employee situations while maintaining fairness and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Human Resources resource for approximately 90 hourly and salaried employees.
• Administer weekly payroll, employee benefits, leave programs, and HR reporting while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality with complex systems.
• Partner with leadership on recruiting, onboarding, talent acquisition, retention, and workforce planning.
• Build trusted relationships across the organization and serve as a collaborative resource to both leaders and employees.
• Provide thoughtful coaching and guidance to managers regarding employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
• Support employee performance reviews, corrective actions, investigations, and separations while ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
• Manage employee onboarding and orientation to create an engaging and positive first impression.
• Coordinate employee recognition programs, team events, celebrations, and culture-building initiatives.
• Maintain personnel records, HR systems, and reporting with exceptional attention to detail.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.

Key Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or HR management role.
• Experience independently managing multiple HR disciplines including payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to coach leaders through employee issues while maintaining professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while working independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field preferred.SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar certification is a plus.
