Senior Operations Manager – Resin & Electrocoat

Position Overview

This senior leadership role functions similarly to a Plant Manager and is responsible for leading two manufacturing operations (Resin and Electrocoat) on a large multi-plant campus. The leader will oversee safe, efficient, compliant, and profitable operations while supporting long-term growth and expansion.Key Responsibilities

Lead production and process engineering for both facilities.

Drive safety, quality, cost, productivity, and delivery performance.

Manage capital investments, modernization, and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, PSM, and regulatory standards.

Lead a unionized workforce while maintaining positive labor relations.

Develop future leaders and build succession plans.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.

10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.

5+ years of leadership experience in a union manufacturing environment.

Multisite leadership experience required.

Experience leading manufacturing operations and process engineering teams.

Strong background in safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.

Strongly Preferred

Experience in coatings, specialty chemicals, polymers, resins, or related process industries.

Track record with capital projects, expansions, and operational excellence.
